Finker-Frenkel Family Foundation Supports Annual Perlman Music Program Virtual Wine Gala
MIAMI, Fla., Feb. 4 2021 — The Finker-Frenkel Family Foundation, a family-run charitable organization dedicated to creating a generational legacy of giving, is proud to support The Perlman Music Program’s 2021 Virtual Wine Gala & Auction, which takes place this Thursday, Feb. 4.
Hosted by program founders Toby and Itzhak Perlman, the annual Charity Wine Auction is a beloved tradition. Every winter, guests gather at the elegant Le Bernardin Privé in New York City to share superlative food and wine, experience transformative musical performances and celebrate Maestro Itzhak Perlman’s passion for food, wine and music. While the pandemic has made the traditional in-person gathering impossible this year, the tradition continues as a virtual celebration, in which people around the world can gather in the comfort of their homes and take part in this incredible experience.
“My wife Toby, recognized from her own musical education that teaching young, talented musicians is a delicate and involved process, similar to properly storing the perfect wine,” said Mr. Perlman. “Just as different wines develop at their own individual pace, so do aspiring young musicians.”
The PMP Wine Auction catalog has a reputation for presenting the best of the best, and this year is no exception. Among the offerings are an Imperial of 2015 Chateau Margaux, a case of 1982 Chateau Mouton Rothschild, a selection of Chablis and Hermitage, and exclusive experiences and vintages of Napa and Sonoma wines. The Wine Vault at Western keeps all of the catalog’s priceless vintages in perfect storage condition and will deliver them swiftly and safely to winning bidders.
The Zoom auction will be led by Jamie Ritchie, Worldwide Head of Sotheby’s Wine. An incomparable maestro at the podium, Mr. Ritchie is one of the world’s leading wine auctioneers and generously shares his expertise with PMP every year.
The auction will take place via Zoom between 7:30 and 8:30pm EST. To learn more about attending the PMP Virtual Wine Auction, please visit perlmanmusicprogram.org/charity-wine-auction.
